THE WINDSOR FOUNDATION
The Windsor Foundation is a private foundation established in 1960 by Mr. Sidney Albert Windsor. During his lifetime, Mr. Windsor owned and operated a commercial canning business in Saint-Jean, Quebec and the assets of the Windsor Canning Company enabled the charitable Mr. Windsor to create a long-term legacy upon his death. Mr. Windsor, who was born and educated in New Brunswick, maintained a lifelong interest in the Maritime Provinces and the people who lived there.
Our Mandate
The Windsor Foundation has two key areas of interest in the Maritime Provinces:
Support for programs, projects and initiatives in the general community which provide services to or benefits for the disadvantaged or vulnerable, and for those physically and intellectually challenged.
Support for creative higher education programs in universities and community colleges.
Grants are made for programs, projects and initiatives undertaken in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick or Prince Edward Island.
